Room of Swords: It's Not Over

It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since the Room of Swords series finale. Room of Swords began as a passion project, blending everything we loved in other stories with our own lived experiences and creative obsessions. Like our main character Gyrus, we entered an unknown world, unaware of the epic journey we were about to embark on. As the series grew, it challenged us to grow with it, pushing us to become better storytellers and to dig deeper into the themes we care most about. At its heart, Room of Swords is a story about trauma, transformation, and breaking the cycles that keep us trapped.

We’re very grateful that message resonated with so many people. Over its five-year run, Room of Swords reached more than 75 million views, gained over 700,000 subscribers, and held a 9.8 rating. We’re incredibly proud of what it became, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

Webtoon has been a wonderful first home for Room of Swords. The platform gave us the space to bring our wild, heartfelt story to life with animations, soundtracks, and an amazing global audience. The exclusivity period coming to an end on Webtoon is just the beginning for Room of Swords. With new freedom comes new possibilities, and we’re excited to explore what this story can grow into from here.

The End Meets the Beginning

We’ve requested that the series be removed from Webtoon after October 30, 2025—but don’t worry! Room of Swords will officially relaunch on November 8th, 2025 on www.roomofswords.com, starting with a fully remastered version of the first half of Season 1. From there, we’ll be updating weekly with more enhanced episodes and bonus content never before seen. It won’t all happen overnight, but we’re excited to breathe new life into a story that means so much to us. There'll be lots of new things to experience, explore and talk about for old and new readers alike!

We also plan to upload a version of the series to Webtoon Canvas and other platforms, although those versions won’t include the original animations, music, or new additions and enhancements.
